Human embryo research - qualitative research report

In September 2006, the Bioethics Council commissioned TNS Ltd to carry out a series of nine focus groups with a range of New Zealand residents to explore public perceptions of human embryo research and their attitudes to it. The information obtained will be used to inform the submission the Bioethics Council makes to the Advisory Committee on Assisted Reproductive Technology (ACART) who produce guidelines or advice to the Minister of Health.
