Who gets born? Pre-birth testing

Toi te Taiao: the Bioethics Council has completed its project on pre-birth testing and reported its findings to government. The report “Who gets born? A report on the cultural, ethical and spiritual issues raised by pre-birth testing” is now available.

The Council used a form of deliberative dialogue for this project. The stages were

  1. a public framing of the issue
  2. the public deliberation
  3. evaluation of the process

The Council would like to thank the hundreds of people who took part in the public framing and face-to-face and on-line deliberation.
